Former Chelsea play marker Willian is set to stay at Arsenal despite widespread reports linking him to a return to the Blues

The 32-year-old left the Blues as a free agent after failing to agree a new contract with reports claiming the Brazilian is on a £220,000 weekly salary with the Gunners.

His lack of playing time has led to speculation that the Brazilian was in talks with his former side for a possible reunion but Arsenal’s official website have released a statement of the players who are leaving the club with the exclusion of Willian.

The names included David Luiz who also joined the Gunners as a free agent from Chelsea, Dani Ceballos, Leonie Maier and Martin Odegaard.

“Our thanks and best wishes go to the following players across our teams whose contracts officially end with us on June 30, 2021.”
