Vincent Atinga was the match winner yet again as Medeama beat WAFA 1-0 at the Akoon Park.
The 28-year old scored his 5th goal of the season-the highest of any defender in the on-going campaign to inspire the club into 3rd place on the table.
The defender has scored in consecutive games following his consolation goal in their 3-1 defeat against Legon Cities.
Atinga’s goal scoring feat this season has seen him score match winning goals against former club Hearts and relegation threatened King Faisal and WAFA.
Medeama maintain an outside chance of winning the league as they close the gap on leaders Kotoko to 10 points with eight games remaining.
The Tarkwa-based club are 3rd on the table with 42 points.
