Kumasi Asante Kotoko have appointed Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo as new head coach ahead of the new season.

Zerbo joins the club on a one-year deal with an option to extend his contract for a further year.

The experienced gaffer replaces Prosper Ogum Nartey who resigned from his post after guiding the club to the Ghana Premier League title.

The 59-year old will lead the Porcupine Warriors in the CAF champions League after making a return to the continental competition following a succesful campaign in the Ghana Premier League.

His last job was guiding Burkina Faso in the 2020 CHAN tournament where they exited the group stages of the tournament.
