Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu bragged his junior side could have held the Porcupine Warriors following a pulsating goalless draw against the league leaders at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kotoko were tipped as favorites to defeat the Phobians following an impressive campaign where they sit at the top of the league log.

Hearts who went into the game a whopping 12 points behind their bitter rivals could not cut the deficit as they end the first round at 8th on the table-and head into the break with the same point gap at the start of the super clash.

Speaking to reporters after the break Coach Boadu shrugged off suggestion this was the best performance the defending champions had manage to put up all season and insist his junior side could have held coach Prosper Ogum Nartey’s side.

“This was not one of our best game, our best game of the first round was against Legon Cities, if we had used our junior team( Auroras) against them today, Kotoko can still not score us.” the under fire Samuel Boadu said after the game.
