Referee Kenny Padi has been suspended for the rest of the season following his decision to award Kotoko a penalty in the Ghana Premier League clash against Accra Hearts of Oak.

Padi awarded the Porcupine Warriors a penalty after Gama went down from a Nurudeen Abdul Aziz challenge.

Replays however showed that there was minimal contact on the Brazilian play maker prompting Hearts to report the referee for his role in the defeat to their bitter rivals.

Etouga scored from the resulting spot-kick to hand Kotoko the bragging right over Hearts.

The referee is believed to have erred in his decision and has been suspended for the rest of the season following a review by the the Ghana Football Association Panel.
