Accra Hearts of Oak completed the last game of match week 23 with a 2-0 victory over King Faisal.

The Phobians started on the front foot but couldn’t make their early dominance count as the Faisal defense stayed resolute

The Visitors began to grow into the game but it is the host that will come close to the opening goal. A fierce effort from Victor Aidoo at the edge of the area was well seen by Goalkeeper, Danlad.

The Hosts continued to pile on the pressure but failed to take advantage of Salisu’s nicely whipped corner kicks as the score remained goalless.

Hearts began the second half in the same mood as the first but still couldn’t find the opening goal as the Faisal defence remained resilient.

The Visitors thought they should have had a penalty but the referee waved play on much to the frustration of the players and the coaching staff.

The Homeside will finally break the deadlock in the 57th minute after a great team play. Substitute Afriyie was brilliantly found by Salifu who unselfishly set up Kwabena Obeng Junior for the opening goal.

The phobians nearly added a second after yet another brilliant move by Afriyie. The forward did well to find Nettey but his effort failed to hit the target.

King Faisal pressed for the equalizer but it is the Home side that will benefit from the space left behind to seal the Win.

Afriyie capped off a brilliant cameo to Score from a tap in after a great work by Salifu.
