Great Olympics captain, Gladson Awako is in doubt for Ghana’s friendly with Morocco later tonight after picking a minor injury during training on Monday.

The attacker traveled with the Black Stars to Rabat on Monday ahead of the first of two international friendly matches scheduled to be played this week.

In training yesterday, the 30-year-old, picked up a knock and had to receive medical attention.

“Midfielder Gladson Awako hobbled off in Monday’s training in Rabat following a minor knock.

“The Accra Great Olympics talisman who has been very instrumental for his club in the on-going Ghana Premier League had a small cut at the internal part of the right leg and was immediately given medical treatment,” part of a communique from the Ghana FA has said.

Although it is nothing serious, it is understood that he could sit out of today’s contest against Morocco as a precaution.

The friendly between the Atlas Lions of Morocco and the Black Stars of Ghana today will kick off at 20:00GMT.
