Ghanaian-born striker Mohammed Muntari featured for Qatar in their 3-3 draw against Panama in their opening group game in the on-going CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Muntari has been a regular feature for the Qatar National team since he scored on his debut against Estonia in an International friendly.
He has since gone on to make 28 appearances for the team, scoring nine goals in the process.
The number nine shirted player replaced Almoez with eleven minutes of their 3-3 draw against Panama remaining.
Qatar who are the Asian Champions after winning the trophy for the first time in 2019 are hoping to use the CONCFCAF Gold Cup to keep themselves sharp as they prepare to host the FIFA World Cup next year.
The Asian Champions have been placed in Group D alongside Honduras, Panama and Grenada.
