Ceramica Cleopatra have agreed a deal to sign Ghana midfielder Kwame Bonsu from Esperance.
The former Asante Kotoko midfielder could be on his way to Egypt after his Tunisian club agreed an undisclosed fee with the newly promoted Egyptian Premier League club.
Bonsu’s move is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms.
The two clubs have been negotiating throughout the transfer window with a breakthrough made on Sunday amid reports of interest from Ahli Benghazi.
Once the deal is completed, Bonsu will become Ceramica Cleoptapra’s 13th signing in the Egyptian transfer transfer window.
Just last week, Ceramica Cleoptapra’s secured the signing of another Ghanaian playmaker, Winful Cobbinah, from Albania side FK Tirana.
Bonsu has been a mainstay for the Blood and Golds, playing a key role in the side this season in the Tunisian league as well as the CAF Champions League.
He made a total of 19 appearances and scored one goal in all competitions for the side last term.
Kwame Bonsu returned to Ghana in 2018 after spells in Sweden to join Asante Kotoko, helping the Reds reach the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
