Ghana Premier League side Techiman Eleven Wonders have been handed a one year transfer ban by the Ghana Football Association.

The Techiman-based club were found guilty by the FA for the unlawful termination of ex-player Abu Sule’s Contract.

The former Heart of Lions defender joined the Club in 2019 but failed to receive his signing-on fee with respect to the agreement in his contract.

The Club subsequently released the player at the beginning of the 2020/2021 Premier League Season which forced representatives of the player to drag the Club to the FA after he was released by the club without respect to his contract.

A decision by the Ghana FA Player Status Committee found the club guilty of breaches to the player’s contract and ordered the club to pay an amount of GHS 33,200 to the player as his two-year outstanding salary.

The Club however failed to oblige to the order of the FA and will hence serve a one-year transfer ban which begins immediately.

The new Ghana Premier League Season will run from Friday, October 29 to Sunday, June 19, 2022.
