The Black Starlets were eliminated from the WAFU B U-17 tournament following defeat to Burkina Faso in the semi-finals.

The National U-17 team lost 1-0 to the young stallions to book a place in the final against Nigeria.

Ousmane Kamara converted a second-half penalty to stun the Black Starlets despite dominating possession for most parts of the game.

The result means Ghana have missed out on a place at the youth tournament Africa Cup of Nations slated for Algeria next year.

Instead Nigeria who beat Ivory Coast 3-1 in the other semi-finals have qualified alongside Burkina Faso for the tournament.
