Asante Kotoko SC have confirmed they will participate in the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League competition.
Following a letter sent to the club last week, to confirm their involvement in next season’s CAF champions league. The porcupine’s confirmation was in a letter dated September 07, 2020, signed by CEO Yaw Amponsah and sent to the GFA.
The 22 time premier league champions represented Ghana in last seasons campaign and have been given the green light compete again, due to the truncated domestic football season.
Asante Kotoko featured in the CAF Champions League last year after they were crowned champions in the NC Tier One competition.
The Club is expected to go through the mandatory Club licensing process as set out in the GFA and CAF Club licensing regulations.
Registration for the 2020/2021 CAF interclub competition is already in session as it was opened on September 01, 2020, and will be closed on October 20, 2020.
Kotoko failed to make it into the money zone last time out but are optimistic they will get into the group stage this time round.
